Celebrating Raymond

On the day of his birth, Little Raymond's spindly legs just would not unfold properly. He spent an inordinate amount of time down on one knee while trying to stand square. Also on that first day, his ears were his most prominent feature.

When he was about a week old, Gwen decided that her buckling was ready to join the herd. After discovering that she'd bulldozed her way into the home pasture, I spent a couple of hours hanging out--making sure the pups didn't mistake him for a toy. Undeterred, Raymond made a point to greet each being in his new world. Here he's greeting Molly, the sensible pup who stayed put and allowed the little guy to approach her.

Oh my, that's a big tree! Raymond brings all the wonder of youth to our pasture.

Whee! Raymond enjoys climbing up and leaping off of "mountains," especially since his nursery pasture offered so few entertaining obstacles.
